Creating a visual language

Corporate visual identity for Teaterbilletter / Theatre Tickets

Teaterbilletter (Theatre Tickets) is an online ticket portal, covering more than 100 theatres in Denmark. During the development of the visual identity it was important for Teaterbilletter that the visual identity would not just express their product (tickets) but also the idea that the ticket is what grants you access to a world of experiences and magic.

Project details

Teaterbilletter wanted to appeal to broader audience by passing on the special feeling of going to the theatre.

The new identity was created upon the idea of giving Teaterbilletter a visual language, which enables them to unfold the magic of the theatre-going experience – whether it be a play, a musical, or a performance. The ticket-symbol is designed to frame different ‘stories’; giving the audience a sneak-peak of what awaits, while at the same time ensuring Teaterbilletter’s recognisability. This way the ticket becomes a strong recognisable visual symbol, and combined with the simple colour-palette, this creates consistency throughout the identity.

When we work with visual identities at IDna Group, we always ensure a toolbox of elements that strikes a balance between repetition and change. Repetition ensures consistency and thus recognisability; and change ensures and enables the identity to be multi-facetted and able to evolve. This solution is an example of just that.
The identity becomes a flexible yet very strong, recognisable tool, which enables Teaterbilletter to unfold the magic of each theatre experience, and to create awareness among the target audience.
